PS3 Madden 10's pulse-pounding, hard-rocking soundtrack is another element that gives the game an added kick. These soundtracks have become such a major part of the sports video games that the game just wouldn't be the same without it. As a departure from other games, Madden 10 has decided to throw in some classics as well as current hits - and it will rock you. If that ain't enough to sell you on PS3 Madden 10, maybe a history lesson will help. Maybe it's an obtuse comparison, lavishing platitudes on PS3 Madden 10, just because it blows every past video football game out of the water. After viewing the earliest football video games, however, you'll understand why PS3 Madden 10 is such an achievement. Obviously, football video games were on every gamer's wish list when the first console games were out there. Trouble was, the video game consoles' abilities weren't as fully realized as gamers' football fantasies, so hardcore gamers had to make do with what was there. "All the excitement" of the real thing, the game publishers crowed back then. And since it was the only game in town, this is what passed for the gridiron.
Those guys on the playing field sure couldn't pass for actual football players. That's just a harsh fact. You can tell by the image that the game wasn't much, but that's only the half of it. This one, like all early games, suffered from the "blinking graphics" syndrome, due to low programming capacity. There's just no way to try an explain how lousy the sound was. No scrolling screen, either. Within a couple years, things would pick up slightly, with a competing console developing a football video game. It certainly was an improvement, with improved graphics, sound, and gameplay. Still needed work, though.
The video game world was certainly jazzed when that was released, but it wasn't exactly the gold standard. More time would pass in order for that to transpire. This next one reaped the benefits of the 8-bit gaming revolution, and people still rave about it to this day. For many years, this was the greatest football video game.
Not hard to understand why that caught on - they were the first to really bring a more comprehensive simulation of football to the video game console. Football video games went to the next level with that one, due to the much needed upgrades. And given that they're making a new online version, there's still a following for it. But even that one can't compete with PS3 Madden 10. Take a look at it, after taking in all of those older games. We've come a long way, and you, along with football video games, have been the largest beneficiary. But there's no purpose in ragging on the early games. No need to beat a dead horse. Those games, while archaic, got us to where we are today, and for that, they deserve their place in the video game hall of fame (though that first one may be better off in "video game hall of shame.") PS3 Madden 10 is in a whole different stratosphere than its predecessors, and for that, hardcore gamers have every reason to be stoked. But it's not just the hardcore gamers that are loving this one - the critics have weighed in, and they give it the thumbs up. Comments like "realistic and enjoyable" pepper each PS3 Madden 10 review. Once again, EA Sports makes a win with PS3 Madden 10 - was there any doubt?
Don't listen to the naysayers and the contrarians - there are few games as great as PS3 Madden 10. Hey, each PlayStation sports video game is EPIC in its own way, but for our money, PS3 Madden 10 is the stuff legends are made of. Hardcore gamers hold this one in the highest of regard. And it's where they separate the men from the boys, by letting you duke it out for some serious cash. Now, PlayStation Madden 10 fans can go toe-to-toe and play video games for money. The victory - and your opponent's cash - will be in your hands, once you know the score in PS3 Madden 10.
